Product Care
Our Glass
Our glass is highly durable and dishwasher-safe (maximum 150˚F). For best results, hand wash with a mild detergent in warm water, rinse, and dry with a soft, lint-free cloth.
Due to their size, the following items are more likely to break in a dishwasher and should be hand-washed:
- Champagne Flutes
- Ekke Carafe & Tumbler
- Issi Candlesticks
- Issi Oil & Vinegar Cruets
- Issi Wine Decanter
- Martini Pitcher & Stirrer
- White Wine Glass (W2)
Our Bone China
Our bone china is dishwasher-safe (maximum 150˚F). Stubborn coffee or tea stains can be removed with toothpaste and a toothbrush.
The natural density and relative thinness of bone china means it will conduct heat efficiently. Any microwave use should be kept to a minimum and may result in the pieces becoming hotter than expected. Pleas exercise caution.
Our Stoneware
Our stoneware is dishwasher- and microwave-safe.
Our Linens
Linen is a highly resilient natural fiber that actually softens with regular use while retaining its strength. Our linen is washing machine safe on a gentle cycle at 85-105˚F with plenty of water and non-bleach detergent. Line dry, don’t tumble dry. While damp, iron at a medium heat on the reverse side for best results.
Felt
Wipe off spills immediately. Stains can usually be removed with soap, water and a small brush.
Steel
Our stainless steel is highly durable and dishwasher-safe (recommend 150–170˚F). Wipe dry with a soft cloth for best results. Resin handles may be restored to their original luster at any time by applying a daily-use household moisturizer on a bit of kitchen towel for a quick “polish.”
Stone
Our stone is made exclusively of rock—just rinse ’em and dry ’em.
Wood
Our wood products are made from conscientiously harvested indigenous North American hardwoods from PA, CT or MA. We do not use any stains, but coat each product with salad bowl oil which helps protect it. The products will withstand occasional dishwashing, but should really just be rinsed and wiped down by hand. Sand off any nicks or scratches and apply one coat of oil every few months to keep them in perfect condition. Or just let them age naturally, like Robert Redford.
