As part of the third generation of the Ribeiro family to continue its successful family-run cutlery business, Cutipol, Jose Joaquim Ribeiro designs modern pieces that seek a balance between minimalism and functional grace – as is particularly evident in his design of the Lolo flatware series.  With a degree in architecture from the University of Portugal and 30 years of experience, his talent led him to win the Centro Portugues Design Award in 2000.
