A classically trained artist, JP’s devotion to the ancient Chinese gong-bi brushstroke technique is tempered by a keen interest in the thoroughly modern forms found in contemporary architecture.  Whether combining old and new, East and West, classic and contemporary, it is maintaining the balance of competing elements that drives his interest.

JP designed the shape for both Avva White and Avva Fern.
